Operation Christmas Child Birthday Party

Yesterday we hosted a birthday party for Lydia. In lieu of gifts, we asked the guests to bring items to pack in shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Lydia and Luke have both enjoyed packing shoeboxes for several years. We were joined by family and friends, along with two volunteers on the Operation Christmas Child year-round team for the Springfield, MO area.

Nancy Easter is the year-round prayer coordinator for our area. She brought the boxes and led the guests in putting them together.
Next we heard from Emily Good, who is the student coordinator for our area. She shared about a distribution trip to Mozambique and a sweet little girl she met there.
Next we got to work. Several of us braided tee-shirt strips into jump ropes.
Next the box packing began!
Our group packed nineteen boxes in all!
We didn’t forget to celebrate the birthday girl!
