Exnerve

In our family, we use the word “exnerve” to desctibe a time of anticipation in which a person is both excited and nervous. This morning Lydia was exnerve.

Near the beginning of the summer, she created a two-item bucket list:

1. Float down a river in a boat.

2. Witness first-hand a horse galloping.

Well, today Lydia is checking off the first item on the list! This morning she left on a kayak trip with our local Outdoor Initiatives program. We’ve practiced paddling on a local lake, and she is ready! (And exnerve.)

She has been texting us pictures throughout the day. Here are a few.
